A HOSTEL LOCATED BY THE BEAUTEFUL ARCHIPELAGO OF LAKE VÄTTERN
In 1987, Bastedalens Herrgård opened with the idea of being the small, personal and family hotel. Nowadays the hotel has been turned into a hostel but our philosophy is the same. With the Vättern archipelago and Närke's beautiful nature as a background, we can offer a peaceful environment that is difficult to find.

Self check-in
For those of you who arrive late or in a hurry, we offer our guests self-check-in.
Because we are a hostel bedlinens are not included so make sure you order it before arrival if that is something you need.
Sauna
You can book our wood-fired sauna even if you are not an overnight guest. There is both a shower and a toilet.

Harge Uddar is one of Lake Vättern's most beautiful places. Here you can experience the beauty of the Vättern archipelago from the first floor. A must for you who ride long-distance skates!
Tiveden
Bring the whole family and hike in Tiveden. Here there is a degree of difficulty for everyone.
Stjernsund Castle
One of Sweden's most well - preserved castles. Book a guided tour or have a coffee in Stjernsund's beautiful castle environment.
Hargebaden
Take the whole family to Hargebaden's sandy beach. A much appreciated place during the summer.
